"Caribou Country" |
…And this a view so typical of the North.
– a brilliantly splendid day shining with possibilities, the
air so clear as to crackle with tiny rainbows of ice crystals…

It does take your very breath away… |
Visitors to our North are always surprised and
amazed at the sheer variety of the atmospheric colour in our days
here. There is an infinite variety, for instance, in the shades
of blue alone that would suit any mood. |

Towards evening these skies change to an intriguing
shade of turquoise, and then a fantastic display of magentas before
settling to another dusk. |

Of course, as with this painting, there really
would be no northern day complete without our omnipresent herd of
caribou. All northerners are entirely familiar with this one animal. |
